Help Your Park or Green Space

Help your Park or Green Space

Written by Dorothea Poggi 11/9/2013
Each year hundreds of Park enthusiasts meet eat and greet at the Bronx Park Speak Up. Planned and executed by the Bronx Coalition of Parks and Green Spaces (BCPGS). This event is held in the Music Building of Lehman College. This is a great place to learn your options to get: an empty lot turned into a garden, have that brown field cleaned up and made into a Park, learn what to do when you find a stranded animal, learn about the events and volunteer options at your nearby park, get the contact numbers of people you can’t seem to find, see the face and personality of the person on the phone you deal with in the parks dept. Learn where to get daffodil bulbs for your park or street gardens, learn about bio swales and green roof projects and so much more.
Mark your calendars now! Save the Date for the 20th Annual Bronx Parks Speak Up:
Bronx Parks: A 20/20 Vision
