BRONX: LEADING THE CHANGE

For the first time in 12 years New York City will have a new Mayor. This is such an exciting moment for the future of our city and borough and Phipps Community Development Corporation wants to lift up the voices of our communities in the incoming Administration.
As you may have heard, a coalition of leading foundations are convening a series of events called Talking Transition, primarily in downtown Manhattan with mobile vans travelling around the five boroughs to engage all constituents. This initiative invites New Yorkers to come together and re-imagine what the city can and will be in the future. By joining the conversation, New Yorkers can share their ideas and concerns, inform the new mayor’s agenda, and move this city forward in the right direction.
Phipps CDC, in partnership with Hostos Community College is bringing the Talking Transition to the Bronx in a big way. We are hosting Bronx: Leading the Change, a Talking Transition event on Thursday, November 21st from 4:30-6:30pm at Hostos Community College. The program will include a panel discussion and an open dialogue to place the voices of Bronx residents, young people, and community leaders at the center of the discussion.
