Tony Feher Exhibit at The Bronx Museum of Arts

Written By Nilka Martell

I recently visited the Bronx Museum of Arts located at 1040 Grand Concourse for a business meeting. As I made my way to the entrance, the adjacent piece of land caught my eye. The dirt filled area was painted florescent pink.IMG_7628 Tony Feher, Albuquerque Landing 2013

American sculptor Feher uses discarded materials to create art. Within I caught a glimpse of some of his other works: green mesh fruit casings, glass bottles, broom sticks, marbles, bolts and other items placed together in the most intriguing ways. Everyday items positioned to capture the eye and provoke the mind.

The Tony Feher exhibition will run through February 16, 2014.

On Friday, January 10, 2014, the Bronx Museum Community Advisory Council will be hosting a talk and moderated Q&A with Feher at the 1040 Lounge. The lounge is conveniently located within the museum and admission is free!
