Toy & Coat Donation Drive: This Thursday at the Bronx Park East Community Association Monthly Meeting

Toy & Coat Donation Drive: This Thursday at the Bronx Park East Community Association Monthly Community Meeting: Lend a Helping Hand!
Start searching your closets, and your grown-up kids’ former closet, for New & Gently-used Toys and Dolls for donation to parents of kids in need who attend P.S. 89 at 980 Mace Avenue. After all, we only have to search our own neighborhood for those who can’t afford to purchase presents for their children this holiday season. I’ll be donating the jumbo X-Men action figures from my teenage years. After all, I’m sure there’s a current reincarnation of X-Men (movie, tv show, etc) that will make these toys relevant to the kids who receive them.
Also, start liquidating your coats in order to keep someone else in NYC warm this winter, via the Annual NY Cares Coat Drive. Please bring them in a plastic bag for packaging purposes.
BPECA is also starting to take RSVP’s for our 2nd Annual “Holiday Ball” on Saturday, December 28th at CenterLight on Allerton Avenue & Bronx Park East. Last year had lots of people dancing and mingling on Christmas weekend!
Elected officials and their representatives are always in attendance at the meeting to speak to you about your concerns. Call/Text (347) 654-7044 if you have any questions about your Toy and Coat donations. Happy Holidays!
