THE BRONX – Many New Yorkers from all over the state make a yearly trek to check out one Bronx home that has kept a tradition alive for nearly 40 years.

The ‘Christmas House’ on Pelham Parkway has had quite a number of people flock to see the energetic home this holiday season. Veteran visitors and first-timers alike say it is brimming with lights and characters. Cinderella is the newest addition to the horde of life-sized dolls that also includes Cher, Audrey Hepburn and Alvin and the Chipmonks.

Homeowner Gary Garbedian turned on all the lights today to prepare for what will be a long night of visitors. He says his mother, a seamstress, originally tailored all of the dolls’ outfits, but since her passing has decided to keep the tradition alive.

Visitors have made a habit of donating money to the home. Garbedian says all the money will be donated to help children with diabetes in honor of his mother.
