Bronx Councilwoman Pushes Cuomo To Call Election To Fill Open Bronx Seats

City Councilwoman Vanessa Gibson has spoken out in the past day on the current status of no election scheduled to fill two Assembly seats in the Bronx, one of which Gibson held until December.  As the legislative session started last month in Albany, two huge swaths of the Bronx lack a representative at the table, as the Councilwoman explains on Facebook:

“It is disappointing that thousands of constituents have no voice in the Assembly during a critical time in Albany. The residents of both the 77th & 79th Districts deserve local services and representation, in addition to other vacant Assembly seats throughout Brooklyn and the rest of New York State. I would hope the Governor understands the need and importance to call an election.”

The Councilwoman gave an interview on News 12 yesterday in which she spoke about the need to call for an election.
