BP’s African American History Month Celebration Yesterday

On Thursday, February 27, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. hosted a celebration of Black History Month 2014 to honor community leaders in recognition of their valuable contributions to the residents of The Bronx and the city. This year’s honorees were: Hazel Dukes, President of the NAACP NY State Conference; Marsha Michael, Esq., Bronx Attorney; and Gregory Floyd, President of Teamsters Local 237. BronxNet’s “Open” host Dr. Bob Lee was Master of Ceremonies. The event was held at the Dreiser Loop Community Center in Co-op City.
