Examining The Common Core

The Common Core, a set of standardized curriculum being implemented in states across the nation including New York, has been praised and panned by experts and novices on the issues, from parents and teachers to elected officials and school leaders.  The US News and World Report has examined a number of myths spreading around about the complicated new reforms, which reflect new ideas in teacher training that many find completely counter to ways they were once taught.  Here are the myths below and to find out more about the realities, check out the article at US News here.
