Alzheimer Deaths Underreported

Alzheimer’s Disease accounts for more deaths than accounted for, according to a new study, because the official cause of death is often listed as other conditions or sickness the deceased has at the time of death.

The PBS Newshour interviews Dr. Bryan James of Rush University Medical Center about the under-reporting of the disease.  He explains how as the disease spreads, it affects more and more areas of the brain which leaves a person susceptible to other diseases and ailments.
