Express Bus Delays, Day Long Traffic Woes Predicted On Bronx Highways After Manhattan Building Collapse

With a major building collapse in East Harlem near a number of crossings between Manhattan and the Bronx, as well as the shut down of all Metro North service, plan a little extra time getting around on the highways in our borough.  Many streets such as Madison Avenue and Third Avenue, which provide northbound express bus access in the city, are close in the Harlem, which are already forcing rerouting of buses in heavy traffic.

Westchester commuters currently need other means of transportation home and even if service is restored on Metro North, delays will push many to to cars and buses, facing the same East Side delays as well.
