Traffic Safety Poster Contest Winners

The 2nd grade class of P.S. 75  has come in first place in a traffic safety poster contest launched by Senator Jeff Klein, Community Board 2 and the 41st Precinct Community Council.   The contest was open to students in the communities comprising the 41st precinct.  The class was awarded a gift certificate of $50 and Senator Klein presented certificates to each of the 2nd graders.

The poster contest was designed to raise awareness around the importance of pedestrian and traffic safety.

“Unsafe driving continues to pose a serious threat to our community. Because of this, it is more important than ever that we educate our young people about the importance of raising awareness surrounding traffic safety and the Traffic Safety Poster Contest is a fun and creative way to do just that,” said the Senator.  “Congratulations to all of the students who participated in this contest and to P.S. 75’s 2nd grade class on their first place finish.”
