The Price of Silence Artistic Director Jason Jeremias and Choreographer/Co-Artistic Director Jamali Corniel are bursting with talent, knowledge and a passion for theatre as they present the 3rd Annual Production “Blurred Lines of Justice” at the beautiful Lovinger Theatre at Lehman College. Students, Actors and Actresses from throughout the NYC area have auditioned for several roles and a few were chosen to bring to life on stage the struggles of women from around the world.
The Price of Silence, a collection of original works, hopes to shed light on the human right violations, from rape, human trafficking, and honor killings to domestic violence, that still plague women throughout the world. It is more than just a theatre production but rather a global movement to break the silence and raise awareness for women’s rights and justice.
During each production a bond is created between the performers and audience members as real stories are acted out on stage. Stories that would probably be forgotten about or never repeated. The main goal of each production is to showcase the injustice happening all around the world and for each audience member to see activism in action.
