Artist Alley

(11am -7:00 p.m.) The heart of any comic convention, attendees will get a  chance to meet and greet some of the best indie creators from the tri-state area and beyond. Creators will sell original art, sketches, and exclusive limited-edition prints and sketchbooks. Portfolio reviews are standard, don’t be shy and bring your portfolios and sketchpads. Attendees are encouraged to show off their work!

Free Comic Book Day

(11am to 1pm) Free Comic Book day is a comic book based holiday  where free comics are distributed on a first come first serve basis.  It is an event which promotes literacy through reading comic books.


Workshops Room C-21:

Podcast: Join The Section 8 comics crew live podcast from 11am to 1pm and discuss comics and whatever else comes from this comedy driven crew.

1 to 2 pm: Learn how to draw the Bronx Heroes way with Chris Duckett.

Work Shop 2 C-21:

2 to 4pm Learn how to write comics with Professional comic artists and writers.

Join Comic artist, writer and self publisher,Ray Felix and Trademark lawyer , Ben Manevitz,  as they discuss the Marvel and DC case which gained international attention over the ownership of the word “SuperHero”.

3:30 to 4:30pm

In this exciting, super heroine filled panel, artist Regine Sawyer ( owner and founder of Lockett Down Productions)  interviews fellow artists Tara Donahue, Shawna Mills ( published in Black Comix and Street Fighter Tribute Book ) , Rica Takashima ( manga artist, creator of “Rica ‘tte Kanji!? and founder of Aozora Art”)  , and Jodi Tong (game graphic and cartooning artist) about the portrayal of women in comics and around the comic book industry.

Gender, Mutants and Monsters in Comics

5 to 6pm

Join comic and film professionals Paris Cullins (Blue Devil artist and co-creator), Gary Cohn( writer, editor  and co- creator of Blue Devil), Ivan Velez jr ( artist/ writer for Milestone, Marvel and Planet Bronx Productions), Vanessa Verduga (Justice Woman) and Delia Gable ( A Ninja Named Stan, Dash, and the Chronicles of Ruth) as they disuss about how they create, draw, write and direct  characters of various genders, life forms and from different planets.
