Councilman Andy King received a leadership award from the Bronx Community Health Network on Monday evening.
Bronx Community Health Network, Inc. (BCHN) is a not-for-profit organization and Federally Qualified Health Center that sponsors fiftteen community and school-based health centers in the Bronx.
The health centers are owned and operated by Montefiore Medical Center and Acacia Network/Promesa Systems, Inc., and funded primarily by the Bureau of Primary Health Care and the HIV/AIDS Bureau of the Health Resources and Services Administration.
“Thank you to the board members and staff at BCHN for thinking so much of me,” said King. “I have always been a strong champion of our community health network.”
