Dress For Success Event Saturday In Co-op City

This message from Councilman Andy King:

If you or someone you know is looking for employment it’s important to be prepared. Tomorrow, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will be a resume review workshop at the Baychester Library, 2049 Ash Loop in Co-op City. Please bring your resume to be critiqued by an expert. 

Also this week, on Saturday, June 28, there will be a “Dress For Success” clothing drive. If you have clean or new business clothes that you can donate to help someone look impeccable for their job interview, please bring the clothing to Dreiser Community Center, 2nd Floor, C, in Co-op City, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Please, all items must be freshly cleaned and pressed.

Next week, on June 30th, job seekers who need proper attire should attend the “Just Suited” workshop, where they may select business attire from clothes donated at the “Dress For Success” clothing drive, have an expert review their resume and sit in on a mock interview. This workshop is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Dreiser Community Center, 2nd Floor Auditorium C, Co-op City.

All this is leading up to a major job fair in our area on Tuesday, July 1, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Dreiser Community Center, 2nd Floor Auditorium. Come dressed in business attire and bring plenty of resumes.
