Two of the best days of the year at my East Bronx elementary school were Field Day and the Spring Fair. At each event, community was built outside the classroom and you could see the teachers in a different light. Well, as you can see from the cell phones, there was too much work for two days off from governing let alone one, but between answering emails on smart phones, it was a day of a little relaxation for the City Council members, staff and the Mayor, enjoying some fun in the sun.
