Incoming student at Riverdale’s College of Mount Saint Vincent Denisha Kuhlor has started her own business, Plucked, a web application that aims to ease the college application process and make it more affordable for high school students to attend college.
Plucked users can conduct their college search, create applications, and express their interest in their colleges of choice. Colleges can also indicate their interest in students. Once there is a match between a student and a college, the student can apply to the institution for free. Ms. Kuhlor’s story was featured in her hometown newspaper, Myrecordjournal.com.
