Assemblyman Michael Benedetto, a long time school teacher and administrator in Co-op City who represents the community in the State Assembly, as well as Councilman Andy King were on hand at their community’s new mall and gave some great remarks and made some great purchases! Local State Senator Ruth Hassel-Thompson was also on hand, known for her double allegiance with the borough and Westchester’s Mount Vernon, which she also represents. (More pics and video soon)

Borough President Diaz spoke about how the Bronx is God’s country and offered praise to the local elected that all helped to shepherd the signifant new economic engine in the East Bronx.
