“Come Clean, Go Green” Bronx Volunteers kick off Coastal Cleanup at Concrete Plant Park

Bronx River Alliance, G.I.V.E. and American Rivers Kicked off their International Coastal Cleanup contributions at Concrete Plant Park this past Saturday, collectively clearing over 80 bags of trash along the Bronx River coast.

The event, “Come Clean, Go Green” fueled and sponsored by Brew It Up NYC Keurig, brought dozens of volunteers from across the Bronx together to collect trash and help beautify our Bronx River coast. Keurig provided all of the volunteers with food, refreshment, personal cleansing products and music to help propel their cleanup efforts.

Of the 80 bags, the most prevalent items were plastic bottles, but items spanned across many categories, from foam cups to old TV sets.
