Garifuna Veterans of America: The Core Values Awards

Release from Devil Dog USA Inc.:

2014_11_02_garifunadellogo

In the last two years Devil Dog USA Inc. has helped thousands of members in the Bronx community and other regions of the US but its main focus has always been to the Veterans. To be specific on the word Veteran, all Veterans, of all eras, gender, age, religion, sexual preference, and etcetera. One of our main focuses has been on the lack of resources and opportunities outside of the Veterans Affairs to cater for OIF/OEF/OND Veterans.

In those two years we have partnered and participated with many organizations. The strongest bond we have gained is with Garifuna Veterans of America. Their specific category is strong in the Bronx community and across the nation. They have set an example for us and another organizations. We are happy to be participating in their 2nd annual event.

Garifuna Veterans of America will be recognizing Garifuna men and women from all divisions of the Armed Forces who have served and continue to serve our country. Please join us as we acknowledge these individuals and create awareness and educate our community about our Garifuna Veterans.

What to expect:
Meet and greet with Garifuna Veterans and active duty members, information on military benefits, recruiters from every division of the military, cultural arts, and refreshments will be served.

Location and time:
Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the Bronx Veterans Hospital (James J. Peters VA Medical Center), between Kingsbridge and University Ave from 3 pm-7 pm room 3D-22.
