NYC Library Awards

lib

Dear fellow Library Lover,

Last year, you nominated your favorite library for the 2013 NYC Neighborhood Library Awards. You were among over 4,300 other New Yorkers that wrote in to tell us how amazing branch libraries are.

We carefully read each and every nomination. All of the stories we received were incredibly heartwarming and reaffirmed the impact of local libraries on individuals and communities across the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island. We were so moved by the outpouring of love for libraries that we decided to double this year’s prize money and pick five brand new winning libraries.

This means that your library could win $20,000 this year!

Please nominate it for the 2nd annual NYC Neighborhood Library Awards today here.

You can also submit your nomination at www.nyclibraryawards.org, on any of the libraries’ websites, or in person at any branch library.

We look forward to receiving your nominations, and our lineup of exciting judges includes acclaimed authors Jonathan Safran Foer and Jacqueline Woodson, and Dutton Children’s Books publisher Julie Strauss-Gabel. To get the latest updates and to help us spread the word, follow us on Twitter @NYCLibAwards and “like” us on Facebook. Please forward this email to your friends and family and encourage them to submit their own nomination.

We look forward to reading your nomination this year!
