While New Yorkers have all breathed a sigh of relief that an Ebola-affected quarantined doctor has received a clean bill of health, the heartbreaking epidemic in Africa is still affecting many New Yorkers with questions seeking answers.
On Sunday, Nov. 23rd, at 1 p.m., the New York City Department of Health (DOH), New Covenant Christian Church and Council Member Andy King will co-host a forum to address issues regarding the spread of Ebola in African nations. An expert from the DOH will address concerns and provide information.
“New York is a global city and we must continue to keep aware of the circumstances plaguing the countries that are affected by this Ebola epidemic,” said Councilman King, co-chair of the Black, Latino and Asian Caucus of the Council. “I want to make sure my constituents and any Bronxites looking to get informed can have the correct, up-to-date information from our city health experts.”
The forum will be held at New Covenant Christian Church, located at 3601 Eastchester Rd., Bronx.
