The December 2014 calendar of events for the Pelham Parkway-Van Nest Library, located on Barnes Avenue between Pelham Parkway South and Lydig Avenue, is attached.
A flyer for the winter term of Free English Classes at NYPL is also attached. Information Sessions for New Students will be held at the Bronx Library Center on Monday, January 12 and Tuesday, January 20.

* Neighborhood Oral History Project Kick-Off & Listening Event – Listen to highlights from interviews collected so far, meet interviewers and storytellers, and enjoy holiday refreshments. At Bronx House. Tuesday, December 9 at 7 pm.
* Time to Spare: Strategies to Eliminate Clutter – Learn strategies to eliminate clutter, prepare for mishaps, save money and maximize time. For adults. Thursday, December 11 at 2 pm.
* Holiday Book Sale – Find holiday gifts for everyone in the family. Proceeds support the Pelham Parkway-Van Nest Library. Sale begins Thursday, December 11 at 4 pm, and continues all day on Friday, December 12, Saturday, December 13, and Monday, December 15.
* Abracadabra – An interactive magic show, with demonstrations for aspiring magicians. For children aged 4 and older. Tuesday, December 16 at 3:30 pm.
* Make Your Own Holiday Ornament – All materials will be provided to make decorations for all winter holidays. For teens. Monday, December 22 at 3:30 pm.
* Plus all of our regular story time, craft, science, book discussion, movie, computer and gaming programs!
All NYPL locations will close at 5 pm on Wednesday, December 24 for Christmas Eve, and on Wednesday, December 31 for New Year’s Eve, and will be closed in observance of Christmas Day on Thursday, December 25.
