Lawmakers: The Time is Now To Provide All Bronx Residents with Cleaner Air & Better Health

 

Lawmakers are calling on building owners & managers throughout

The Borough of The Bronx to meet Cleaner Fuel Requirements

before the approaching deadline of June 30, 2015

 

 

When:        Tuesday, December 30th, 2014 at 1 P.M.

 

 

Where:       In front of 1212 Grand Concourse, Corner of 167 St. in The Bronx.

 

What:          Legislators, community leaders, and City personnel to announce joint efforts to promote better air quality in The Bronx. Harmful emissions from heating systems of residential and commercial buildings are still burning heavy heating oils (No. 4 or 6) throughout The Bronx.

 

As part of PlaNYC’s goal to achieve the cleanest air of any large U.S. city, The Mayor’s Office launched the NYC Clean Heat program to provide resources to building owners who are required to stop burning No. 6 fuel, and to encourage those conversions to the cleanest fuels possible.
