Tomorrow at 5:30 PM, Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams will captain “Team Brooklyn” in a handball grudge match against Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and “Team Bronx” in the Johnny Ray Memorial Pro Wall Ball Tournament, presented by the United States Wallball Association. Team Brooklyn is the current title holder and will be defending its trophy against Team Bronx on home turf, specifically MatchPoint NYC, a state-of-the-art sports and fitness facility located in Gravesend. In addition to facing each other on the handball court, Borough Presidents Adams and Diaz will speak to the importance of sports in their agendas to advance public health and youth empowerment; a number of local athletes who will be in competition tomorrow have turned their lives around through handball.
