Bronx Pets – Max

Pet’s are very important parts of our lives. Whether we or society realizes it, a pet will come into our world, grow on us, and love us. When it’s time for them to leave, it is a painful loss. Sadly, one of this week’s Bronx Pets has passed away.

While this pet is not a Bronx native, he was an honorary Bronx pet who called this borough his second home.

Meet Max

Max
Originally hailing from a shelter in California, Max was given up by his previous owner before being adopted by Mari and Justin. Max liked to play tug-of-war, go for runs, and was a branch manager (see picture above). Having a thirst to explore the world, Max liked to travel and visited Texas, the Grand Canyon, Virginia Beach, and a good portion of the southwest. But one of the places he always came back to was the Bronx. Max enjoyed checking out Morris Park and taking a stroll through Pelham Parkway.

Sadly, Max has passed away last week at the ripe old age of 17. The Bronx Chronicle would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Justin, Mari, Matthew, Joshua, and Madeline. Let us all join in on remembering the loving and joyful memories that Max created.
