MICHAEL LIPPMAN Lippman, the former Counsel to the Bronx Administrator for more than 30 years, is to be sentenced following a September 2014 plea of guilty to 3rd Degree Grand Larceny. Tasked with protecting the estates of people who died without a will, Lippman instead charged estates advance fees for work not performed and excessive legal fees for work that was done. Lippman was ordered to pay restitution of nearly $150,000 or else face two to six years behind bars.

ANDREW SCOTT Scott is charged with 2nd Degree Murder, 1st Degree Robbery, and 1st Degree Burglary for the October 1st, 2013 death of Jana Randolph and her mother Ida Randolph. Scott is accused of entering the victims’ Jerome Park apartment, duct taping them and stealing their credit cards and PIN numbers with help of two other assailants. He then allegedly bludgeoned both victims to death.

KEVIN PALACIOS The 16-year-old Palacios is facing charges of 2nd and 3rd Degree Assault, 2nd Degree Menacing, and other crimes for the February 22nd, 2015 stabbing of another minor in the vicinity of 1681 Bruckner Boulevard.

JASON POLANCO Polanco is facing several counts of 1st Degree and 2nd Degree Attempted Murder, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Degree Robbery and a slew of other charges for his role in the non- fatal shootings of Andrew Dossi and Aliro Pellarano, two NYPD officers responding to a Fordham grocery store robbery on January 5th, 2015.  Joshua Kemp, also accused in the incident, is scheduled for court next week.

CHARLES STEVENS Stevens is facing charges of 2nd Degree Murder, 1st Degree Manslaughter and other related crimes for the December 30th, 2014 Morris Heights death of James Hardy. Just days after his release on bail in a separate assault case, Stevens allegedly stabbed Hardy multiple times in the torso, killing him.

MIKE GARCIA Garcia is charged with one count of 1st Degree Manslaughter for the death of Juan Martinez during an altercation at a June 2014 wedding. Garcia is accused of stabbing Martinez in the thigh with a 6-inch kitchen knife, severing an artery, causing his death.

Possible Disposition

LUIS GARCIA Garcia (aka Luis Montalvo) is charged with 2nd Degree Murder, 2nd Degree Attempted Murder, 1st Degree Manslaughter and 1st Degree Assault for the April 8th, 2011 death of Giovanni Rivera and the wounding of Jesus Berrios, a Mott Haven building super. Garcia allegedly shot both men in Berrios’ basement apartment after a night of partying. Despite being shot three times in the head, Berrios survived and is still the building super for his Tinton Avenue complex.  His first case resulted in a hung jury.

Scott is accused of punching Delvalle in the head, with closed fists, after an argument over a minor fender bender involving both of their vehicles.

ALEXIS SANCHEZ Found guilty at a two week trial, Former Goldman Sachs computer technician Sanchez will be sentenced on the charges of 2nd Degree Murder and 4th Degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon for the November 2nd, 2011 death of Stephen Mari, a local drug dealer. 35 dollars short and desperate to feed his raging drug habit, Sanchez lured Mari into an alleyway near Parkchester and shot him eight times, hitting him and killing him with six of those bullets.

ERNESTO BAILEY Bailey is charged with Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, Torturing and Injuring Animals, and 5th Degree Arson for the July 25th, 2014 incident in which he is accused of repeatedly striking and severely injuring a cat with a shopping cart. In addition, Bailey allegedly set the animal on fire at 690 East 182nd Street.

HAROLD GRANT Grant is charged with 2nd Degree Attempted Murder, 1st and 2nd Degree Assault, and 2nd Degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon for an August 2012 shooting seriously injuring 9-yr-old Guillermo Delacruz Jr. The incident stemmed from an argument between Grant’s girlfriend and another woman, both of whom proceeded to retrieve their boyfriends to settle the score. Grant is accused of shooting wildly into a crowd on Walton Avenue, striking Delacruz Jr., an innocent bystander. Grant fled the jurisdiction but was later apprehended in Virginia in November of 2012.
