Are you a parent, friend?

unnamed

Fellow New Yorkers —

If you’re a parent and you want to play a larger role in deciding how New York City public schools educate our kids, now is your moment.

Until March 11 at 11:59 p.m., you can apply to serve on a Citywide Education Council. Parents who volunteer on these councils are important advisors and decision-makers who have direct access to their local superintendents and play an important role in education policy.

Are you a parent who wants to take the next step in improving the education of our city’s children?

Yes! I’m a parent and I’m interested in serving on a Citywide Education Council.

I’m a parent, but I don’t want to apply.

I’m not a parent, but I am interested in education policy.

Working together, we’ll make sure that all of our schools — no matter what neighborhood they’re in — deliver world-class educations to our kids.

Thanks,

Richard Buery
Deputy Mayor for Strategic Policy Initiatives
