YANNIEL VILATO Yanniel Vilato is facing charges of Attempted Murder, Assault, and other related crimes for the September 13th, 2014 strangulation of the mother of his child, Sachy Almanzar – Munoz.  Vilato allegedly placed his hands around the victim’s neck and squeezed it, causing the victim to lose consciousness. The victim is currently unable to see and suffers from brain damage, but has regained the ability to breathe on her own.

JOEY SCOTT Scott is charged with Manslaughter 2 and Assault 2 for the June 11th, 2012 death of Juan Delvalle, a 65-year-old school bus driver. Scott is accused of punching Delvalle in the head, with closed fists, after an argument over a minor fender bender involving both of their vehicles.

Scheduling of Trial Date

RICHARD BLOOMFIELD Bloomfield is charged with Murder 2 and Manslaughter 1 for the November 2012 death of Madonna Martin. Martin, a nursing student and an LPN at Columbia-Presbyterian had been displaced by Hurricane Sandy, and temporarily moved into co-worker Bloomfield’s Mott Haven apartment. The defendant is accused of strangling his roommate and leaving her body in a parked car.

FRANKIE HARRISON Harrison is facing charges of Assault 3 and Menacing for allegedly attacking pet shop owner Maria Agrinsonis and Elvis Martinez on March 12th, 2015. Harrison is accused of punching both victims in the face after a dispute in Agrinsonis’ White Plains Road pet store.

HAROLD GRANT Grant is charged with Attempted Murder 2 and Assault 1,2 for an August 2012 shooting seriously injuring 9-yr-old Guillermo Delacruz Jr. The incident stemmed from an argument between Grant’s girlfriend and another woman, both of whom proceeded to retrieve their boyfriends to settle the score. Grant is accused of shooting wildly into a crowd on Walton Avenue, striking Delacruz Jr., an innocent bystander. Grant fled the jurisdiction but was later apprehended in Virginia in November of 2012

HIDALGO FERRERAS Ferreras, an NYPD traffic agent, is charged with Grand Larceny 3, Falsifying Business Records and additional crimes for allegedly taking thousands of dollars to have parking tickets dismissed by Bronx County’s Parking Violations Bureau. Ferreras is accused of creating phony documents detailing the vehicles’ location at nonexistent auto body shops and bogus movie sets.

Rikers Island Captain Simancas and Correction Officers Wint and Jackson are charged with Attempted Assault 1, Falsifying Business Records and other crimes for the post-Superstorm Sandy abuse of a confined inmate. The men allegedly handcuffed the inmate in his cell, took him out into the vestibule of the facility and repeatedly struck him with their feet, fists and batons, rendering him unconscious. The inmates were held in their cells for an extended period of time due to the storm and a shortage of staff.

ANDREW SCOTT Found guilty of Murder 2 and Robbery 1, Scott will be sentenced to 25-years-to-life behind bars for the October 1st, 2013 gruesome murders of his ex-girlfriend, Jana Randolph and her mother Ida Randolph. Scott lived with the victims before he was kicked out by the elder Randolph for his bad behavior. Seeking revenge, Scott hatched a plan to rob and kill the complainants.  With the help of two accomplices, Scott entered the Randolph’s apartment, duct taped the women, stole their credit cards and pin numbers, and bludgeoned and stabbed both victims to death.

CHERRYLEE YOUNG Young is charged with Assault 2, Criminally Negligent Homicide and other related crimes stemming from the death of 77-year-old Frank Mercado at a University Heights nursing home. Mercado was allegedly struck several times by Young, a facility attendant. Mercado died from internal injuries he suffered after being impaled through the rectum by a piece of metal jutting out from an overturned table.

Scheduling of Trial Date

WILLY CANTURENCIA Canturencia is charged with Murder 2, Manslaughter 1 and additional crimes for the January 5th, 2014 death of his wife, Toribia Hernandez. Canturencia is accused of stabbing his wife multiple times with two knives at the couple’s Walton Avenue apartment while in the presence of Hernandez’s two daughters, one of whom was also stabbed in the abdomen.
