JOSEPH MURPHY | Murphy, who was found guilty at trial in September 2014 of Attempted Assault 3 and Harassment 2 along with fellow officer Jose Ocasio, will be sentenced for the February 18th, 2011 assault of 17-year-old Tyre Davis. Both defendants got into a heated exchange with the teen, whom Ocasio booked on a disorderly conduct summons. The officers later followed Davis out of the precinct into an alley opposite 210 E. 181st Street, where they were caught on surveillance punching and kicking the teen, or giving the teen a “tune-up” as the assault is colloquially referred to. |
