CB8 Selects New District Manager

BRONX, NEW YORK (5-12-15) – Daniel Padernacht, chair of Community Board #8, today announced the election of Ms. Patricia Manning as the Board’s District Manager. She was voted in by the Community Board at this evening’s monthly meeting. Ms. Manning has accepted the District Manager’s position effective June 22, 2015. She will receive a salary of $75,000 annually as District Manager.

Ms. Manning has been a Senior Associate in the community board office for 30 years. She replaces Ms. Nicole Stent who resigned on January 16th. Ms. Manning is married and has one daughter. She has been a proud Bronx resident for over 50 years and insists that she has no intentions of ever leaving her beloved Bronx.

The Community Board formed a five-member Search Committee that advertised the position in accordance with municipal requirements. They received 113 resumes, interviewed five finalists and chose Ms. Manning as their recommendation for consideration by the full board.

Concerning Ms. Manning’s selection, Mr. Padernacht said, “Ms. Manning is a hard working individual who is committed to our community. Our Board has made a great selection in Ms. Manning as our new District Manager. I am excited to work with her on new initiatives and wish her well in her new position.”

Ms. Manning, in commenting on her election, stated, “My dedication to Community Board 8 is boundless, and after three decades of working with this community, I am prepared and very happy for this opportunity to serve in the leadership position of District Manager where I can make a greater difference.”
