Monroe Students To Participate At NBA Draft Event

Students within Monroe College’s School of Information Technology were recently invited to demonstrate their knowledge in a high-profile, real-world setting, at the NBA Lottery event at the Hilton in Midtown Manhattan.
The four selected students (Michael Walker, Kadheim Cooper, Kimal Simms and Lenin Garcia), along with their professor John Rullan, completed various important networking tasks for the NBA and ESPN to ensure that the event could be broadcasted over the internet. It also gave them valuable hands-on experience in their field.
Due to the professionalism and efficiency they showed throughout, the students were subsequently invited to participate in the NBA Draft event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on June 25th, where they will undertake similar responsibilities.
