$180,000 state grant secured by Klein to fund peephole installations across The Bronx
New peepholes provide panoramic view of the outside; Improve access and functionality; Significantly boost safety & security for seniors and individuals with disabilities
BRONX, NY – State Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) and the Neighborhood Initiatives Development Corporation (NIDC) will install dozens of new peepholes for Bronx seniors at Evergreen Gardens on Thursday, July 9th, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.
The peephole installation project is part of a larger effort by Senator Klein and the NIDC to improve safety and security for Bronx seniors and individuals with disabilities. Nearly 100 households in the Northeast Bronx will receive new peepholes, with installations taking place throughout the month at 950 and 955 Evergreen Avenue, and 1950 Hutchinson River Parkway.
