Congress Names Morrisania Post Office In Honor of Herman Badillo

On Thursday, both the United States Senate and the House of Representatives passed legislation renaming the Morrisania Post Office in honor of former Congressman and Bronx Borough President Herman Badillo. Congressman Jose Serrano was the original sponsor of the bill in the House of Representatives.

BP DIAZ ANNOUNCES 2015 BRONX CONCERT SERIES SCHEDULE

Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. has announced the slate of performers that will take part in the 2015 Bronx Summer Concert Series at Orchard Beach.

GOVERNOR CUOMO ANNOUNCES $500K TO FUND BRONX PROJECTS

Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation (BOEDC) will use a state grant of up to $500,000 to capitalize the Bronx Revolving Loan Fund, a revolving small business loan fund that will that will expand BOEDC’s outreach to include businesses either outside of the Empowerment Zone boundaries or unable to access more traditional sources of financing.

Senator Klein funds summer backpack giveaway for Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and HELP Bronx homeless shelter

Yesterday, State Senator Jeff Klein and the Youth Service Opportunities Project (YSOP) donated summer backpacks to nearly 300 Bronx children from the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and HELP Bronx – Morris Avenue Shelter.
