Soundview Park Movie Night: ‘Yogi Bear’ on 8/27

 

Hey Boo-Boo, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., Senator Ruben Diaz, Sr., and Assemblyman Marcos Crespo join New York City Department of Parks & Recreation Commissioner Mitchell J. Silver, in hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony and free movie night (‘Yogi Bear’) at the new amphitheater in Soundview Park on Thursday, August 27 beginning at 6PM.

Senator Rev. Ruben Diaz, Sr. described Soundview Park as “a jewel of the Bronx that not too many people know about.” The park is a beautiful, well maintained haven with a running track, grass baseball fields, a soccer field, basketball courts, handball courts, walking and biking paths, and a new performance lawn.

 

Soundview Park Meets Jellystone ParkThe Soundview Amphitheater will be used as a stage for live music, entertainment and outdoor movies where families and children can join together for special times in Soundview Park. The Soundview Park Amphitheater is located at Rosedale Avenue and Lacombe Avenue in the Southeast Bronx. The movie screens at 7 PM.

 

In addition to a screening of ‘Yogi Bear’, the event will also feature a free yoga lesson for children provided by Sweetwater Dance & Yoga Studio.

 

It should be a fun evening for the whole family.
