On Friday, August 21st, State Senator Gustavo Rivera, Assembly Member Victor M. Pichardo and Council Member Ritchie Torres hosted a Back to School event at Tremont Park as part of Senator Rivera’s Bronx CAN Health Initiative. Approximately, 600 Bronxites received free backpacks, and enjoyed fun activities and free health screenings provided by community organizations in an effort to help celebrate a healthy start to the upcoming school year.
