Darcel Clark For Justice

by Ruben Diaz Jr.

Bronx Borough President

The Bronx is unlike any other borough in the city, and we deserve a District Attorney with the experience and commitment to bring true justice to our communities. With Robert Johnson stepping down after 27 years on the job, we are fortunate to have Darcel Clark a true daughter of the Bronx who was raised in Soundview just like me as our Democratic candidate for District Attorney.

Darcel Clark_ICHDarcel Clark is uniquely qualified for this job. The first in her family to attend college, Darcel started her career serving in the office of the Bronx Assistant District Attorney for 13 years, under the late Mario Merola and District Attorney Johnson, where she took on drug dealers, gangs, rapists and other criminals. Darcel was then chosen to serve on the New York City Criminal Court before being appointed by Governor Andrew Cuomo to the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court the second highest court in our state.

Darcel’s career gives her an incredible combination of experience and unmatched vision for the District Attorney’s office. Darcel will bring true accountability to The Bronx through reforms that will eliminate case backlogs, address longstanding issues on Rikers Island, ensure speedier trials and deliver swifter justice for victims and defendants. Most importantly, she will bring our communities together proactively and engage them in the fight to make The Bronx safer for all of our families.

The time is now and the choice is clear – Democrat Darcel Clark is the candidate our borough needs fighting for us. Let’s elect New York’s first AfricanAmerican, female District Attorney. I’ll be voting for her, and I urge all Bronx residents ready for safer streets and stronger communities to join me in voting for Judge Clark this Tuesday, November 3rd
