A pregnant Bronx woman was stabbed in the stomach by a woman apparently trying to steal her unborn child on Friday afternoon. She and her child were taken for treatment at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital. Sadly, the mother lost her life but the child, who was removed by cesarean section by the attacker, survived. The attacker was apprehended by police at the scene. The woman has been identified as a former friend of the murdered woman.
