Starting at 6:30 p.m., this holiday dinner is free to everyone. The point of the dinner is to give tenants, neighbors, community members, and community leaders the opportunity to mingle as well as giving them a chance to get to know each other.

In making the announcement Jill said. “In the spirit of the holiday season, all beliefs and in the spirit of understanding and peace Moujan Vahdat and family are hosting a dinner for residents and guests of the Pelham Grand.Staff and residents are looking forward to a good meal in a comfortable community setting.”

This community event follows on the heels of several very successful and inclusive community events by the Pelham Grand over the past year.

Moujan Vahdat bought the five-story building at 1870 Pelham Parkway South in 2006. He has long been recognized for his business skills, philanthropy and being committed to the communities he serves. He is member of the Bahai faith with roots in Persia. Baha’i is a monotheistic religion which emphasizes the spiritual unity of all humankind. Followers believe that all major religions have the same spiritual source and come from the same God, along with the belief that all humans have been created equal. There is a sense of unity in diversity where diversity of race and culture are seen as worthy of appreciation and acceptance.

Please RSVP by either stopping by the front desk of the Pelham Grand located at 1870 Pelham Parkway South, emailing Jill at jill@ascnyc.org or calling her at (212) 645-0875, extension 752.
