COUNCIL MEMBER TORRES WILL PRESENT FREE COMPUTERS TO STUDENTS TO ENHANCE ACCESS TO EDUCATIONAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL OPPORTUNITIES
At Family Learning Workshop, Parents & Students Will Learn How to Use Their New Computer & Technology
to Broaden the Reach of the Classroom
WHAT: Council Member Ritchie Torres, in partnership with the non-profit PowerMyLearning, will host more than 150 Bronx families and students at MS 45 for a “Family Learning Workshop” and present them with free computers loaded with educational software. At the workshop, families will learn how to use technology to support student learning at home and enhance educational opportunities. Council Member Torres financially supports PowerMyLearning with his Council funds, and the funds are going to the workshop and computers that will be handed out to families in need.
