In this nonpartisan special election Mr. George Alvarez will be running under the independent Bronx For All ballot line.

Mr. George Alvarez holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in logistics and computer science. His campaign website notes that he served as vice-president of the Democrats in the Heights and is a member of the Coalition for a New Future in the Bronx and Child For A Violin. He was an unsuccessful candidate for State Assembly in 2014.

Mr. Alvarez pledged that his priority, if elected, will be to host a series of free housing clinics to provide clear and practical information, as well as legal advice to district residents.
