Writing in his recent Matters of Faith column, Overcoming Evil, Rev. J. Loren Russell recalled the recent random shooting in the Bronx that took the life of “Jessica White— a mother of three young children shot and killed protecting her children from bullets that have no name.” Rev. Russell reflected on “the fact that these [shootings] are so commonplace in our world that we are shocked only momentarily, then we go on with life as usual. We have grown numb.”
The Bronx Chronicle asks that you not go numb. We ask that you take action and help the NYPD to find Ms. White’s killer. The shooting took place near a park bench in the playground area of John Adams Houses. Take a good look at the image below:
The gunman was described as being dressed in black and wearing a ski mask, and the police have also released this image of a man they describe as a“person of interest” in connection with the shooting who they want to bring in for questioning
