The Residence Inn by Marriott Bronx at Metro Center Honors Interns

The Residence Inn by Marriott Bronx at Metro Center Atrium participated in the New York City Summer Youth Employment Program where nine young people joined the hotel team for six weeks to learn new tasks and worked alongside employees to serve guests. Each individual was exposed to multiple areas of the hotel including breakfast service, guest-room cleaning, meeting room set-up, and public area maintenance. “Although I knew the program would provide basic job skills and an introduction to the world of employment to the participants, I was a pleasantly surprised at how much our employees enjoyed and learned from the experience of teaching and coaching the summer youth,” said Clement Carey, General Manager at The Residence Inn by Marriott.
