After a bye week the Fordham University football Rams returned to Rose Hill Saturday and took care of business on Homecoming Day before a large crowd with a 31-17 win over the University of Pennsylvania.

On the heels of their last record setting win, 83-21 at home over Elizabeth City State, Fordham improved their record to 26-2 over the past four years at home.

Chase Edmonds ran for 152 yards, 49 receiving and scored four touchdowns. The junior running back and Fordham’s single season rushing record holder, scored three times in the first half that helped the Rams to a 24-10 lead at the half.

Fordham, 2-1, got 231 yards and a touchdown from quarterback Kevin Anderson.

Penn, 0-2, made it close with a score late in the third quarter. The Quakers had a chance to tie the game late in the game but the Fordham defense denied them the opportunity by turning the ball over in downs.

Next up for Fordham is a meeting with Monmouth University before they return home again October 8th and host Lafayette.
