The Fordham Lady Rams gave their fans an early Christmas present, victory as they defeated Niagara’s Lady Purple Eagles, 92-69 in a Thursday afternoon tilt at Rose Hill Gym, in the Bronx. The win gave Fordham their second straight victory and improves their record to 9-4, as they break for Christmas Day. While Niagara record dropped to 4-7.

The ninety-six points scored by the Lady Rams, was a season high, by an offense that is showing signs heating up during their last two games. Once again Fordham was led on offense by G’mrice Davis, who scored 23 points, just missing her season high of 24 points that she scored in Fordham’s last game against Manhattan College.

Hannah Missry, assisted in the offensive explosion scoring sixteen points, fourteen in the second half, shooting 6 for 11 from the field, and 4 for 7 from beyond the arch. Fordham had four other players score in double figures, with Danielle Burns scoring 12 points, Kate Kreslina, 11 points, and Danielle Padovano and Lauren Holden with 10 points apiece.
Fordham shot 56% from the field and 52% from the three-point line, which is a welcomed sight for the Fordham faithful.

Fordham took a fifteen-point lead into the half, 48-33, concluding the second period on a 10-0 run to close the half, and give the Lady Rams a comfortable lead. Fordham would extend their lead to twenty-one points to end the third period, before outscoring Niagara by 20-18 in the fourth period for the twenty-three point victory.
The Lady Rams look to extend their winning streak as they take part in the Fordham Holiday Classic, against University of Buffalo, on Thursday December 29th at Rose Hill Gym. The Fordham Holiday Classic will also feature, Harvard and UNC-Asheville.
