Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., in partnership with the Bronx Jewish Community Council, hosted a pre-Chanukah celebration, on Thursday, and Menorah lighting ceremony, in observance of the Jewish Festival of Lights.
The event took place at the Riverdale YM-YWHA, and featured performance by the choir of the SAR Academy Elementary School.
Several elected officials and community members were in attendance including United States Congressman Eliot Engel and New York State Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz.
