Summer Youth Job Applications Available

​ATTENTION BRONX YOUTH

The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) provides New York City youth between the ages of 14 and 24 with paid summer employment for up to six weeks in July and August. Participants work in entry-level jobs in a variety of industries.

 

SYEP also provides workshops on job readiness, career exploration, financial literacy, and opportunities to continue education and social growth.

 

Bronx youth can apply online or print out a summer jobs application to fill out by hand. To go online, click here.

 

Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:

When you submit an online application, you will be asked to select the SYEP Provider you want to work for. If you print out an application, you will complete the application by hand and bring it to the SYEP Provider you want to work for.

 

The city Department of Youth and community Development will provide applicants with online information to help in the selection of an SYEP Provider.

 

Programs are located in community-based organizations in all five boroughs of New York City. Youth can apply for the program online or at a community-based organization during the application period. Participants are selected by lottery for the program.

 

Applicants may only submit one application for SYEP. Selection into SYEP is based on a lottery. Submission of an application does not guarantee that you will be offered a job.
The deadline to submit applications is 3/17/2017. There are 39 days left before the deadline.
