Dozens of community members and current and retired police officers joined the family of Lt. Thomas Clesse for the annual 5K run & walk organized in his honor.

Joined by the then-49th Precinct Commanding Officer Captain Keith Walton, participants gathered at Pelham Parkway and Eastchester Road on Saturday, September 10 and walked, jogged or ran along Pelham Parkway to White Plains Road and back.

 

Money raised from the event will be donated to the NYPD Widows and Orphans Fund. Cleese worked at the 49th Precinct for 35 years before his death from cancer in 2000.
