Job fair organized by Sepulveda draws more than a thousand job seekers

The lines were long and hopes high at a local job fair organized by Assemblyman Luis Sepulveda that recently drew up to 1,200 job seekers and 72 potential employers from government and private agencies and organizations, retailers, hospitals and health care organizations, educational institutions, general contractors and others.

The job fair, held Wednesday, April 5 at the Sotomayor Community Center in Soundview, was co-sponsored by state Senator Ruben Diaz and Assemblyman Marcos Crespo.
