Trea Turner triples, records his first cycle (Video)

The Washington Nationals’ shortstop Tres Turner went 4-for-6 and knocked a bases-clearing triple into right field to complete the cycle. It was the third cycle in Nationals’ history (2005-present). Turner had seven RBIs in the Nationals 15-12 win over the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field.

Turner hit a single in his first at-bat, a double in his second, a home run in his fourth, and a triple in his fifth at-bat.

According to Elias Research, Turner became the eighth player in major league history to drive in seven-plus runs while hitting for the cycle and is the second-youngest player to do so, behind only Joe DiMaggio — who 22 years old when he hit for the cycle and drove in 7 runs in the NY Yankees victory over the Washington Senators in 1937.
